Telus has brought out a new update for its iPhone app entitled, the Optik TV Remote Recording with various bug fixes and an enhance search performance. With this app, Telus Optik TV subscribers can schedule, record, and review sitcoms anytime, anywhere. It enables users to manage and control their HD PVR recordings.

The Customized Guide exhibits only those channels which users have subscribed to. Additionally, the app displays the entire program and cast details. iPhone owners can also search with keywords such as actors, program title, new shows and HD programs. It even allows subscribers to check out their scheduled recordings or remove those which they had previously recorded. It’s speculated to be loaded with functions such as call display, pay-per-view, picture-in-picture browsing and the ability to use the Xbox 360 as a set-top box.

To access the app, users must be a subscriber of ‘Telus Optik TV with an HD PVR’. They would also require an Optik TV username and password to log in. An account can be created via the main menu on the digital box, where they have to select Recordings and Remote recording. Subsequently subscribers will have to follow all the steps displayed.

The Telus Optik TV Remote Recording app can be procured from the App Store for free. The version 1.2 is now available and requires 1.4MB space to settle in.
