For those excited about the Sony Ericsson Xperia smartphones we talked about earlier in the day, there’s also a feature phone that looks attention-grabbing. The Sony Ericsson Txt phone along with Smart Extras LiveDock and LiveSound headsets were also revealed.
It is a messaging phone with a dedicated SMS key and features a ‘friends’ application that allows users to view Facebook and Twitter updates from their friends. The phone is integrated with a 3.2MP camera including video recording support. It’s also Wi-Fi enabled.
Quentin Cordier, Global Product Marketing Manager, Sony Ericsson mentioned, “Sony Ericsson txt is the perfect phone for easy and fast messaging on the move. We wanted to give consumers that prefer a full view QWERTY keyboard an entry point into the world of Sony Ericsson.”
Smart Extras, a range of Sony Ericsson accessories offers the new LiveDock multimedia station and LiveSound hi-fi headsets. The LiveDock enables users to integrate their Xperia smartphone into their home or office. Once connected, the dock not only charges the phone but also automatically launches apps specified by users.
The LiveSound headsets come with a tangle-free design and have a LiveKey control to access apps directly through them. They come with an on-cable remote that manages the music and allows users to take calls. The soft ear buds come in many color variants.
The Sony Ericsson Txt phone and the SmartExtras accessories will be available Q3 of 2011. Now if only we had some pricing goodness!
