Smartphone Booklet disposable phone concept made of nanoparticles

Smartphone Booklet

By bringing forth the Smartphone Booklet, technology has further made its presence felt in this day and age of recyclable and disposable products. This offering is basically a handset which opens up like a menu card or booklet and is made of nanoparticles.

Created by designer Ilshat Garipov, this smartphone sports a unique, sharp form factor which is as thin as cardboard. The credit for the slimness of this device is attributed to the presence of nanoparticles in lieu of the traditional silicon ones that are commonly used in such handsets. The tiny and near invisible nanoparticles are said to be the future of optical, biomedical and electronic fields and may herald a new age for upcoming inventions in these industries.

This smartphone unfolds like a pamphlet and each page or side represents a frequently used function, tool or application. The handset can be trimmed to any size by manufacturers and once it wears out, it is capable of being recycled. When it undergoes the eco-friendly process, users need not worry about the security of their data in the phone as all the information is stored in a cloud. Also, this device operates on solar power which is harnessed by the energy absorbing nanoparticles.

There are quite a few newly emerged mobile phone concepts out there, one of which is the Mobikoma phone which can be converted into a tablet by rearranging the square module units. The Modai BFF phone is also a recently disclosed concept which not only serves the purpose of a handset but also acts as a friend to users and communicates with them from time to time.

The Smartphone Booklet disposable phone is still in the concept stage and currently being worked upon by scientists as suggested by Yanko Design.
