The compact and portable docking station comes enclosed in a round exterior and claims to render clear audio, enough to fill the room with music. Its decent quality sound can be attributed to the four full range neodymium dynamic drivers packed inside the iBase that should deliver audio without distortions even at higher volume levels. The cradle with vertical support ensures that the device to be docked is placed safely in it. The dock also extends support to a number of other MP3 players as the manufacturer has thrown in a 3.5mm line-in jack along with the 30-pin connector.
This audio peripheral with dimensions of 6.25 x 6.25 x 2.1 inches, tips the scale at around 20.6oz and is said to be apt for homes or even workplaces. Another advantage is that it charges the iPhone, the iPad or the iPod while streaming music through them.
