The Samsung Galaxy series seems to be spreading its wings to countries all over the globe. Samsung slid the wraps off its Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab at an event in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo. With this event, the handset manufacturer introduces two Galaxy entrants in the Japanese markets. Both the handheld devices are powered by the Android 2.2, wherein users can access a myriad of applications from the Android Market and the DoCoMo market.
“The Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab will deliver true value and enjoyment through immersive, integrative and intelligent consumer experiences. We are very grateful for the fantastic global response we have received for the Galaxy S and I am convinced that the Japanese market will feel the same. With the launch of the Galaxy Tab and in partnership with NTT DoCoMo, we are bringing Japanese consumers a smart media device that has generated significant excitement across the world,” stated JK Shin, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

The Galaxy S is fitted with a 4 inch super AMOLED touchscreen and a virtual QWERTY keypad. With its 5.0 megapixel camera, dilettante photographers can capture high definition videos. Operating on a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, this beauty proffers faster uploading and downloading of HD-like multimedia content with 3D graphics.
These two devices were showcased at the CEATEC Japan 2010 in Makuhari Messe, Japan. The Galaxy S and the Galaxy Tab are anticipated to be available from late October and November, respectively.
