The Samsung Galaxy Note has now been made available to handset enthusiasts drenched in a white avatar by John Lewis. This hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet is the latest Samsung mobile device to come in a white version after the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which had recently been introduced with the ivory hued coats.

The white variant of the Galaxy Note will possess all the features of its black counterpart that walked down the ramp in the UK back in November last year. Powered by Android 2.3, it comes embedded with a 5.3-inch WXGA 1280 x 800p HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display.

“At Samsung we always want to offer our customers choice and are delighted to bring the Galaxy Note in white to the UK. The Galaxy Note is an innovative addition to the Samsung Galaxy family and a new category of device that consumers can’t get anywhere else,” explained Simon Stanford, Managing Director, UK and IRE Telecommunications and Networks Division.

This Samsung smartphone boasts of an 8MP primary camera with LED flash as well as a 2MP secondary snapper which can be used for video calling. Fueled by a 1.4GHz dual core processor, it is equipped with pen input technology dubbed as the S Pen which lets users operate the device with their fingers or the accompanying Smart Pen.

The white Samsung Galaxy Note is now available from John Lewis on Oxford Street London and the first 100 buyers will receive £250 worth of free music, films and eBooks. It is most likely to carry the same price tag of £594 that is attached to its black counterpart.
