Seals Technologies has previously unleashed into the tech terrain loads of rugged handheld computing products that can be operated in almost any type of extreme weather condition. Now the company reveals its first durable handheld terminal dubbed as the Seals VR7. The multi-functional device caters to individuals who adore indulging in outdoor activities and those industrial businesses.

The high quality mobile phone offers 24 hours life guard and weather protection. It comprises of loads of high specification features and provides supply real-time communication in any weather condition. The IP-67 rated GSM device is claimed to be resistant to dirt, shocks, dust and drops. Furthermore, it can withstand extreme pressure of up to 400kgs and waterproof to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes. Seal technologies state that the device can function in environments ranging from -20˚C to +55˚C.

The company also embeds the handset with an ‘optical signal for help’ which sends the latitude and longitude as well as messages to five different mobile phone numbers while setting off the SOS signal in time of need. It boasts of a GPS navigational system and is based on GPS, GIS map application, information feedback, and group management. Other options include electronic compass, torch, weather forecast, e-mail, conference call and loud speakers for noisy environments.

The company hasn’t yet disclosed the official pricing and availability details of the Seals VR7 rugged phone.
