PayPal 2.0 Android

Not so long ago, PayPal introduced its mobile application for iPhone users that enabled them to send money to their friends and family owning a PayPal account. Version 2 of the application now finds its way to the Android platform. With this update, users can experience some new and exciting features that might ease the task of transferring money.

According to the PayPal blog, the new version enables users to send money by just tapping on two phones together, thanks to the bump technology. When users go out for dinner, this application automatically calculates the total amount of bill and then acquires money directly from friends through the Split the check feature. This attribute effortlessly reimburses on the spot when the bill is paid by users.

As per the Nielson Company report, it is claimed that by the end of next year, people will be more inclined to own a smartphone than any other mobile device in the U.S. This will further result in increasing number of users performing transactions for paying and receiving payments by utilizing their handy devices. The company also claims that in the last six months, it achieved almost twice the mobile payment volume it did in 2009.

The PayPal application can be downloaded from the Android Market for free.
