LG Optimus 3D enriches experience with 3D augmented reality browser

LG Optimus 3D The 3D technology has prominently become more rampant and fulfills the increasing needs of technology enthusiasts. Keeping this in mind, LG has partnered with Wikitude to announce the implementation of three dimensional AR browser on its LG Optimus 3D smartphone.

The Wikitude 3D browser renders seamless interaction with real-time user environments. 3D AR proficiently highlights places, landmarks and objects in 3D. Users can easily access information about their location and related Wikitude articles along with Twitter details.

“AR technology has been praised for its potential to replace the ‘abstract’ realities of standard mobile browsers with ‘actual’ reality streamed through the camera of the smartphone. LG’s cutting-edge hardware and 3D API software technology now pushes this reality a step further,” commented Dr. Jong-seok Park, CEO and President of LG Mobile Communications Company.

In addition, Wikitude 3D comprises details on more than 100 million locations and presently lends support to 12 languages for a leveraged experience. Users can swiftly download Wikitude 3D from LG World beginning mid June. The device promises to come along with the world’s first dual-core, dual-channel, dual-memory architecture along with the first full 3D platform providing glasses-free viewing, recording and sharing of 3D content.

The LG Optimus 3D smartphone is anticipated to initially hit stores in Europe this summer and in other markets soon.
