The BlackBerry Curve 8530 has already made its way through select several network operators such Tata Indicom in India and Cricket in the U.S. The handset is now being offered by Boost Mobile, one of Sprint’s prepaid brands. Fitted with a full QWERTY keypad and optical trackpad navigation, it can be operated with 3G networks wherever they are available.

Sporting a digital camera with zoom and video recording, the handset proffers Bluetooth version 2.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity. With full HTML Web browsing, users can access the BlackBerry App World to download a myriad of applications. This BlackBerry offering is embedded with dedicated media keys and a media player to the deluge of songs and videos that can be stored using the 2GB microSD card that comes boxed. It comes with hot swappable microSD/SDHC memory card slot, rendering up to 32GB microSD/SDHC cards support.

Handset owners can use the GPS for various location-based applications like caller ID, geotagging pictures, call waiting voice mail, and call forwarding.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 will be retailing for $249.99 (excluding taxes) at Boost Mobile exclusive retail stores and select independent wireless dealer store. By October 14, 2010 it will be available at boostmobile.com with free shipping. The handset will hit major retail stores by the month end. Users may avail Boost’s phone insurance and activate the $60 BlackBerry Monthly Unlimited for unlimited text, domestic voice and Web service without the need of a long term agreement.
