Taking the word ‘smart’ in a whole new direction, AT&T has just slid the covers of Dell Aero – the carrier’s second Android device with the open source platform.

Dell’s first Android smartphone designed for the US market, the Aero features a 3.5-inch nHD display to deliver a crystal clear visual experience. For photography fiends, the smartphone includes a 5 megapixel camera that lets users share their life in a snap with integration into Flickr, Facebook, Picassa, YouTube and TwitPic.

With Aero, users can stay connected with a variety of social networking apps including Facebook that is fully integrated into their phonebook and syncs events to their calendar. The new device renders simply unprecedented web browsing experience with Flash Lite support for streaming audio and video content.

In addition, users can connect to 20,000 AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots and navigate using the onboard GPS system.

As of now, there’s no official word on its pricing and availability details.
