Flaunted back at the CES 2012, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity is scheduled to arrive in the UK on August 31 via Amazon. The last time we heard about the tablet, the news was regarding its price and release date details for the US.

Advertised as the world’s first full HD Android slate, it sports a 10.1-inch WUXGA display proffering images in resolutions of 1920 × 1200p. It is reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection. Ticking beneath its sleek chassis is an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor working at 1.6GHz.

The integrated Nvidia CPU works in tandem with a 12-core GeForce GPU to render decent graphics while playing games. Owing to Super IPS+ technology employed by the display, the slab should provide convenient access to full HD videos and games. Additionally, it deploys SonicMaster technology to deliver improved audio to music enthusiasts.

Looking quite nifty on the specs sheet is an 8MP autofocus snapper with LED flash as well as 1080p video recording capability. For video conferencing over the web, the manufacturer has thrown in a 2MP front-facing camera as well. All the aforementioned offerings are fueled by ICS. The device arrives with a dock that transforms the slate into a notebook.

Without the dock, the tablet is expected to survive for nearly 9.5 hours. In terms of hoarding space, it is available in two memory choices of 32GB and 64GB, along with 8GB free Asus WebStorage. On the connectivity front, the device drags along Bluetooth v3.0, A2DP and 802.11 b/g/n.

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity price for the UK is revealed to be £599.99.
