Amazon releases Palm Pre for $199.99

Palm Pre Amazon Acquiring a Palm Pre is not as difficult as before, thanks to Amazon. The company is offering the device just for $199.99 with a Sprint contract but without a mail-in rebate, according to Mobilewhack.

The device will be offered for a price of $499.99 for users who don’t want to be a part of any contract. This improved price is $50 lesser than the deal offered by Sprint and $150 less than what was put forward by Best Buy earlier.

This device supports the 3G EVDO Rev A and Wi-Fi capability along with other specifications. It sports a 24-bit color HVGA display with 320×480 resolution. A QWERTY keyboard and GPS navigation is also incorporated in the mobile phone. Users can click clear and crisp pictures via the phone’s 3.1 megapixel camera.

The high-end Palm Pre was launched way back in May, 2009 and was available from Sprint’s own stores along with Best Buy, Radio Shack and selected Wal-Mart stores.

So those users who still haven’t acquired the Palm Pre and wish to do it soon can take advantage of this special price offered for the phone. Amazon will deliver the Palm Pre in 4 to 6 weeks from the date of ordering for a price of $199.99.
