Verizon Galaxy Nexus Price

Probably bringing tidings of an upcoming Galaxy launch on the horizon, the 4G LTE Verizon Galaxy Nexus price has witnessed a sharp drop to $99.99 on contract. It’s hard to believe that the device which was the first to binge on ICS is actually selling at this price.

All in all, it’s a complete treat for fans who wish to lay hands on Samsung’s phone for a low cost. The handset that was retailing for $300 on contract in December last year, is now shipping at $200 less. As we just said, it’s speculated to be a marketing strategy adopted by the carrier to increase the sales.

The scenario is ripe for fresh smartphones to drop in including a new Galaxy member, or rather the Galaxy Note II, which could also explain the move. Considering that the Galaxy S3 was made available over the past couple of months, it seems to be making older gadgets like the one in question less attractive in comparison.

Nevertheless, the folks over at Droid Life claim that the Nexus is still very much in the race as it’s a ‘developer’ device. And most certainly, it will be among the first few to run the latest Android OS. Just as a reminder, the HSPA+ version has already received Android 4.1.

For a quick recap, the smartphone employs a 4.65-inch HD AMOLED display and a dual core processor with 1.2GHz clock speeds. On the software front, the company has thrown in an array of attributes like Face Unlock, Android Beam and Google+ amongst others.

So now the 4G LTE Verizon Galaxy Nexus price amounts to $99.99 under a 2-year contract.
